CARE PACKAGES
What are care packages?
Care packages are One Step With You’s way of providing the necessities for the students we help, so that they can have a good start in their first year.
In each care package, there is one of the following:
Teeth Hygiene Travel Kit
Shower Caddy
Hair Brush
Towel Set
Sewing Kit
Pillow
Twin Bed Sheet Set
Backpack Laundry Bag
Blanket
Costco Shop Card* (they can use this at any Costco, and they can add money to it if they want. They can even use it for gas, and they don’t need a membership.)
*The money provided on Costco Shop Cards change according to how much money we fundraise. The minimum amount on each Costco Shop Card is $55. In our latest cycle, the amount on each Costco Shop Card was $90.
How do you decide what items to put in each care package?
The items in each care package are specially curated pertaining to what we believe are the fundamental necessities for a student to thrive in college. This includes laundry supplies, gas money, toiletries, etc. We also get feedback from the students we help, so they may tell us what they feel we should include, or what should be taken out.
THE CARE PACKAGES FROM 2024'S CYCLE:
In 2024, we supported thirteen seniors from 5 different Title 1 high schools through their transition to university.
